- Implement operational best practices to improve efficiency and achieve target gross margins.
- Manage branch expenses including labor, vendor contracts, inventory, and fleet operations.
- Oversee facility maintenance, inspections, and repairs to safeguard company assets.
- Enforce OSHA compliance and company safety standards, including training, assessments, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, permitting, and local code requirements.
- Recruit, hire, and develop service staff; manage performance, schedules, priorities, and assignments to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Deliver ongoing technical and communication training through ride-alongs, in-house sessions, webinars, and company learning platforms.
- Review service documentation, conduct job site evaluations, and maintain procedural compliance among field personnel.
- Support dispatch operations to ensure accurate job scheduling, technician matching, and proper time documentation.
- Resolve customer concerns promptly through clear, professional communication.
- Coordinate with HR weekly on staffing needs and manpower planning.
- Attend and participate in company-sponsored training and leadership development.
- Represent the company professionally in appearance and demeanor.
- Wear company-provided Ben Franklin apparel and maintain personal and vehicle cleanliness.
- Adhere to safety policies, ethical standards, and courteous customer interaction at all times.
- 10+ years of verifiable managerial, technical, and sales experience in plumbing or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of residential/light commercial plumbing systems, installation, and service.
- Proven success in meeting revenue and performance goals.
- Familiarity with local codes, permitting, and safety requirements.
- Plumbing certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- High school diploma or GED or Associate degree in a related field.
- Experience managing large field and office teams.
- Combination of office and field work.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, evenings, or weekends as needed.
- Local travel within service territory.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, kneel, or crawl as needed.
- Capable of performing job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Normal vision range (corrected or uncorrected).
- Ability to handle occasional high-pressure or confrontational situations professionally.
